Indian car market is going to rock in the year 2009. It is said that next year over 50 new car models are going to hit the country with a big bang. Even the launches that were due for this December have been postponed to next year because of the slump in the car market.

Here are top 5 new cars that are to soon to be introduced in India:

Fiat Linea

Fiat Linea is a stylish and powerful car supposed to be launched in January next year. It is a luxury saloon priced at about Rs 7-9 Lakh.

The car would be propelled by Linea would be propelled by a 1.3 Litre multi-jet engine with unmatched mileage and performance. The exterior of the car is structured with floating straight lines, arched roof, and front and rear quarter-glass areas. Mahindra Xylo

Mahindra Xylo, earlier known as Ingenio, is to make its entry in the India on January 13, 2009. The car would have the almost have the engine and features similar to that of the Bolero. It is expected that the car would be powered with the 2.5 Litre CRDe, an engine that Bolero is equipped with.

In terms of car exterior, it is speculated to be much like a blend of Scorpio and Bolero. The car would be introduced with a pack of high-end car technologies and features to experience a healthy competition with the MUV leader, Toyota Innova, in India. It is also said that Xylo is a world class car tested and proved under all circumstances.

Hyundai i20

Hyundai i20 has successfully made its first shipment to Europe. Now, the company is all set to roll out its i20 in India. The car is supposed to revolutionize the small car market here with a perfect symphony of elegance, power, and performance.

Hyundai i20 is artistically designed with a modern approach to car designing and engineering. The exterior is styled with a slim grille that is further accentuated with large air dams, creases on bonnet, large headlamps, tight shut line, and vertical tailgate. Hyundai i20 would be available in three engine options available both in petrol and diesel versions.

Chevrolet Cruze

General Motors is now to uncover the Chevrolet Cruze for the Indian car market. This car is speculated to be launched by the end of 2009 with an assortment of innovations.

Cruze would be introduced as a replacement of Optra and would be available in an engine option of 1.8 Litre of petrol and 2.0 Litre of diesel. It would also have an optional automatic transmission.

With a price tag of Rs 12-13 Lakh, the car would be a significant addition to Chevrolet's car portfolio in India.

Renault Megane

Renault Megane would be a great offering by French car manufacturer Renault. The car is expected to enter the Indian car market somewhere in mid 2009 with a price tag of Rs 12-13 Lakh.
